In all walks of life, a good recommendation is worth it’s weight in gold. From plumbers and locksmiths to wedding celebrants! Yes, wedding celebrants! Why wouldn’t you seek reputable people to be with you on one of the most important days of your life? I certainly would, and it’s why I’m so honoured to be officially recommended as a preferred wedding celebrant by these three brilliant, and quite different, wedding venues.

Old Luxters Barn, Hambledon Valley, Oxfordshire

Since 1990, Old Luxters has been the venue of choice for weddings in Oxfordshire with each event tailored exclusively to each couples needs and wishes for the day - a bit like a celebrant led ceremony!
The lovely 18th century converted barn has a charming rustic appeal, with all modern conveniences discreetly to hand. Seating from 60 adult guests up to 114 guests, and drinks receptions up to 150 guests, this flexible space can be personalised for any occasion, whether lavish or casual in style. Old Luxters offers a reception barn, bar area and raised gallery with DJ console too. The beautiful orchard to the left of the barn makes an ideal space for a marquee or even a yurt, creating a lovely outdoor space. And... the beauty is that if having a celebrant led ceremony, there are no restrictions on using the outside space for your wedding ceremony.
Old Luxters Barn is located in the Hambleden Valley, near Henley-on-Thames, set within a renowned Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. The barn is part of Chiltern Valley Winery, Brewery & Vineyard so another bonus is that you'll never risk running out of drinks for your guests. Pop it on your must see list if thinking of a barn venue that is truly a one-off and magical experience. You can even hire the farmhouse for a stay before and after the celebrations, making your experience even richer and memorable. A perfect wedding venue.

The Bay Tree Hotel, Burford

Situated in the Cotswold town of Burford, famed for it's marvellous yellow stone buildings and architecture, The Bay Tree Hotel is full of historical charm and contemporary style, perfect for your wedding day celebrations - including an Exclusive Hire option. Oh, yes! A perfect wedding venue.
Think flagstone floors, roaring log fires and a galleried staircase. As a small country house hotel it's ideally suited to Exclusive Use (house party!) Some of my couples have hired the hotel for this reason and it's amazing to see the place come alive with their friends and family. A real home from home.
